September 20, 2017 Frugality Guest Post Personal Finance 8

Hi All!  I hope you are having a wonderful September week.

The Adventure Rich family is enjoying our first vacation (aka- non-family visit or staycation) since AR Jr. joined our crew over two years ago.  It has been a great adventure so far and I look forward to providing details about our “fairly frugal vacation” soon.

Paying Off $55,000 of Debt

A quick snap from my morning run around Mackinac Island

In the meantime, I would like to send you over to check out our debt payoff feature on High Five Dad!  Eric, the mastermind behind High Five Dad, generously offered to feature several bloggers who have paid off debt.

In the post, we discuss how we paid over $55,000 in debt starting when we began dating.  It took us about two and a half years to pay off this amount.  During those 2.5 years, we also paid for most of our wedding, built an emergency fund, started a down payment fund and invested in our retirement accounts… oh, and I was ~20 weeks pregnant with AR Jr!

Paying off our student loan, car loan and credit card debt brought a great sense of relief as Mr. Adventure Rich and I looked forward to our life together.  I hope the post provides a bit of inspiration as you pursue your goals!
