December 22, 2017 Careers Family Guest Post Household Personal Finance Philosophy 4

Hello!  I hope you are having a wonderful “week before Christmas” and Holiday season.  We are enjoying our newly minted winter wonderland yard and relocating all of our necessary hats, gloves, boots, coats and other cold weather wear.

On Saturday, December 16th, a guest post I wrote appeared over on Millennial Boss.  J kindly welcomed my post and I decided to write about my perspective towards various areas of our life as a female breadwinner.  This is a topic near and dear to both J and I, so I really enjoyed the opportunity to share more about my perspective and viewpoints.

Female Breadwinner Balance

Business Trip Views

In this post, I cover how Mr. Adventure Rich handle our work schedules, parenting duties, household duties, financial decisions, and money mangement, all while (trying!) to maintain a healthy life balance by creating “me time” thoughout our week.  It is a delicate balance (ha!  I always chuckle at the word “balance”… I rarely feel fully balanced 😉 ) but Mr. Adventure Rich and I work hard to remain in constant communication and stay on the same page.

Bottom Line

Fresh snow welcoming me home from a business trip!

For me, the bottom line is finding a path that works best for you and your family.  This will not look the same as another family and not everyone will understand how you choose to live your life.  And that is absolutely ok!  For me, if I make a decision with Mr. Adventure Rich that we both feel comfortable about, I can rest easy knowing we are doing alright.  Maybe there will be someone who questions our choices or disagrees with our next steps, but it is ultimately our choice!
